Thanks. I'm not up to speed on Pakistan pronunciations. I also make mistakes with Ijaz Faqih. Was the other scenario an Ashley Mallett reference?

Lordy. The Bots were making a better fist of it in the 2nd innings, getting to 1-130 then 3-182. From the latter position they lost 4 for 12. Ugh.

So a day and a half off for the Paksters then.

I'm not sure why my post went in twice, but I only 'know' how to pronounce Nauman as 'Noman' (rhyming with Roman might have been better) through working with a Pakistani colleague who also has that name.

'Spiny Norman' is of course an old Python reference. Dinsdale Piranha was wont to be very afraid of him. Well worth a re-run on Ewetube.

I was thinking of Ashley Mallett's comment after being dismissed "c Chadwick, b Lock" for 92 in the Shield match in Perth in October 1970.

In the end the Bots lost 7-49 to plummet to another innings loss.
