Should Indian players boycott Australian media ?
Should Indian players boycott Australian media ?
Just watcing the histrionics and vitriol being poured out on Indian players and India by the Australian media, especially after Brad Hoggs pardon by BCCI, the vindictiveness of the Australian media and their casually substituting India and BCCI when it suits their context thus dragging the name of a country down as well shows them in utterly poor light.
As long as BCCI was meek and used to 'Grease up and Bend over' (GUBO) to the Australian bloc and 'white commonwealth' lobby in cricket they had absolutely no problems and BCCI was given a good boy report. Now that it is no longer possible to push BCCI around they have resorted to taking cheap shots at India and BCCI through the media.

Re: Should Indian players boycott Australian media ?
Up until the 90s it was Australia who bossed over the cricketing world with their undisputed 'money power/financial muscle' and at that point of time we didn't hear even a pipsqueak by Australian media about how one country's board was controlling world cricket and ICC through its money power bullying.
Because Australia were doing the bullying, but not since they no longer have the freedom to do as they please ... this resulted in vindictivenes on their part. Uptil 90s (and still does in case of umpires/match-referees) CA had a unquestionable veto power over anything that happened in the cricketing world. Aus media have now forgotten all that and now selectively blame BCCI and it's financial muscle.

Whenever there was a question of holding World Cup in subcontinent all through 70s/80s .. guess who jumped up to veto that.
Australia.
Whenever question of any programs by ICC to help cricket in subcontinent was raised .. guess who vetoed that.

Re: Should Indian players boycott Australian media ?
here are more gems from Australian media (Roebuck's article) ...
there is no reason to drag BCCI-Zim relationship in this whole saga except to tar BCCI, hence India.( He has used the terms BCCI and India loosely and interchangebly.)
How has posturing lead to undermining the law? a fair trail was conducted and Bhajji was not found guilty.period.
Indeed, the time has come to take a closer look at the behaviour of the BCCI, not least its liaison with the thieves and thugs running Zimbabwean cricket. A man is known by the company he keeps.

India's conduct was deplorable. That the Australians have been carrying on like pork chops for years was no excuse. India had every right to stand against them, but not to undermine the rule of law. Posturing has cost them the high ground.

Re: Should Indian players boycott Australian media ?
In my opinion the trial after the lowering of the charges was fair.
The crap that led to the lowering of the charges was not.
