Questions for Harby ....
Andrew Symonds approached Harbhajan Singh and told him that he had no friends amongst the Australians (he admits he used the word ‘fuck’ or a derivation thereof). Singh used similar language to Symonds and neither took offence at that stage.
However the exchange caused Singh to become angry and he motioned to Symonds to come towards him. Singh then said something to Symonds. There is a dispute as to what was said.
Why the delayed reaction to become angry ?
Why motion Symonds to come towards him to say what he had to say?
Are they the reactions of someone lashing out because they are provoked or is it the response of someone who knows what they are about to do is wrong?
WHAT WAS SAID
The conversation between Australian players and Harbhajan Singh that was picked up by the Channel Nine stump microphone:
Symonds to Harbhajan: "Go and yell at your teammates. You called me a monkey again?"Hayden: "Twice."
Hayden approaches Harbhajan, saying: "You've got a witness now, champ. That's the last time."
Harbhajan: "No listen, he started it."
Hayden: "It doesn't matter, mate. It's racial vilification. It's a shit word and you know it."
Why is his FIRST excuse "he started it" and not 'I didn't say monkey'?
Poor work by the lawyer assisting the hearing .....

Punjab is known for three things: Good Music, Good Alcohol, and great humor.
Note that Intelligence (the Hon. Manmohan Singh, and others excepted) isn't one of them.

Great Indian tradition: Sikhs go complete barkers at 12 o clock. Don't ask me where it started.
Don't try the joke on a Sikh, unless he's a friend.
Edit: To add to what DAM said, in India Sikhs are traditionally regarded as martial, generous, impulsive, upfront, and not very intellectual.
