20/20 warmup games
Aust def Sheep Shaggers in the gilly warmup.
Tasmanian quick Ben Hilfenhaus was the pick of the Australian bowlers with 3-11, while Nathan Bracken 2-34 and Lee 1-21 were serviceable. - Cric oz

Re: 20/20 warmup games
Encouraging stuff from Hilfy, as well as the ever-reliable Paris and Roy. Only concern is that man Bond's continued hold over our top order. He had us 2-1 after 4 balls. And to get 187 with an over and a half to spare is outstanding.

Brad Hodge didn't last long, adding just eight...
He's useless even for rubbish cricket. Send him back to Victoria and get a real cricketer in there - a Tasmanian.

You'd be lapping it up if I'd suggested replacing him with a dubber.

Hehehe, that's why I added the "ish". Sage of you to call for Podge to be binned.

SAF whooping AUS...
Quite looking forward to the T20 tbh. Will be much better IMO, than the 'real' thing... not that it would be hard

Graeme Smith and AB de Villiers are in my Fantasy 20/20 team. Pity these games don't count towards that.

Re: 20/20 warmup games
Funnily enough, those are the exact same reasons I couldn't pick Kevin Pietersen in mine.

Kemp, yes, Nel, don't know.
Kemp will be rubbish though, just you watch. He needs too much time to get his eye in and 20/20 doesn't give you that luxury.

Dello wrote:I didn't pick Pietersen because he's not particularly good at T20 cricket.
that would go for most of the England side.
I reckon we'll see him at 3.
T20 is a strange beast - you can be cruising a win one minute and then 3 overs later be losing.

Re: 20/20 warmup games
Impressive to see how easily 180 was chased down, I reckon that would be a winning score 7/10 times

Windies beat NZ convincingly.
Windies 150/6: Dwayne Smith 47 (46), Deonarine 34 (26), Ramdin 26* (9), Martin 2/22, Gillespie 2/35, Bond 1/26
NZ 115: Fulton 51 (43), Vettori 24 (16), Powell 3/4, Sammy 3/21, Bravo 2/28, Edwards 1/7
Chris Gayle retired hurt after 2 Overs of the Windies innings. Hope he's ok, he's nursing a bad knee.
