Erm, WTF?skully wrote:Did I say 317 might be 20 runs short? FFS.
What's the highest run chase at the SCG? 230? 240?
Keep away from the bong water, mate.

Hmm, we'll see. At the current rate Aus may be 20 runs short of a safe total. Indians currently need 102 from 66.Invader Zim wrote:Erm, WTF?skully wrote:Did I say 317 might be 20 runs short? FFS.

Huzzah, I'll take credit for a timely woof. Excellent stumping of Ghambir by Gilly off Hogggyyyy!!!. Indians need 102 off 65 with 4 wickets in hand.

Indians have just about saved the bonus point and a win is still possible. This Uthappa chap can give it a tonk.

Good chase by the subis (aided by some lose bowling at times), but it always seemed a little too big a total for them. Still Gambhir and Uthappa to be congratulated on thier efforts. (Although Clark seemed to have Uthappa LBW for not many).

Dhoni in, 'I simply can't play a single run a ball innings in Australia' shock.
Guy just has no idea how to accelerate here. Looks like all his huge hits are only possible on Subi wickets.....

Good entertainment for the crowd. 616 runs off 100 overs. Can't complain about that.

No the *seniors* cave in much earlier and quicker.

2 wins by Lankans in last two games would see them playing Aus in the Final series.

And ofcourse Aus will oblige the Lankans.
this loss is good because now Tendulkar can be 'ordered' to bat at #4 .. useless bugger (at opening in Aus).

Plus 17 wickets, plus an equal WR for Gilly, plus a Michelle for Bung who I think has now equalled TGM's JAMODI wicket tally.

Just got home from the SCG, stopping at some watering holes along the way.
It would have been a good match if Australia had scored 15-20 runs less. Even though India put up a good fight, there was always the sense that they were out of it.
As for my own experience. I went to the game with seven mates. We met at the Excelsior and had seven beers there. We were having such a good time that the clock ticked past two without us noticing. Suddnely we realised we needed to get a move on. We sprinted for the ground. As we were running through the park we heard a cheer - there was no misinterpreting what it meant - Gilly was in.
We ran even faster only to be met by a slow-moving line of people queueing to get into the Dally M stand. While standing in the queue we heard a groan. We got inside and saw Ponting walking to the crease. Who was at the non-stiker's end? That tall q-billy, banana bending banjo, that's who. Gilly was gone. Thank Christ he took six catches or I might have had to jump off the gap.

FFS, can't Michael Slater resist the urge to call every Aussie player by their nickname?

Suddenly news breaks that both Ishant and Symonds have been fined ..
gee what cheek.
Why weren't Harbhajan and Symonds fined together then ?
BCCI should clearly issue the ultimatum that they will not take fining Ishant lying down and will give hell to teams touring India.

India's infatuation with Youvy Singh has again proved its undoing..what sort of bookies' favouritr is he????...what is the prob with Kartik that they won't give him a go???...it is so clear the youvy is cowardly when faced with a rising delivery above the knee roll on his pads...send the guy home to his doctored wickets
