There you go - a bunch of young cricketers to keep an eye out for, some more established than others.
And, if you had to, which of those would you put money on to play for England? Which ones do you reckon will really kick on, Jay?

With Flintoff and possibly Anderson and Mahmood on international duty again for much of the summer, Smith should get the chance to force his way back in.
He looks like Peter Krause from Six Feet Under and Dirty Sexy Money.
I never thought Smith was anything special. Imo Ollie Newby has more going for him.

No such thing as a certainty in this game, but I can't remember the last Young Cricketer of the Year who didn't go on to play for England, so you'd have to figure Rashid will get there eventually.
Who will kick on this year? Bresnan's batting came on a treat last season - if his bowling makes the same strides this time around, he could be one to watch. Onions has been on the fringes of England for a while now - done a few "Lions" stints - so you'd be looking for him to push on. Luke Wright is going to be interesting to watch - can he find a way to bat in four-day cricket? Seems to have potential to burn.
Of the really young players just starting out, I'd expect Steven Finn to make a real impact.

Roy would never have been picked to play test cricket for England.

Almost.
It was Paul Franks.
But Symonds was named Young Cricket of the Year in 1995. How funny.

Actually, looking further, seems Franks played one ODI (must have made a big impression...) so Symonds was the last winner who didn't go on to play for England.
