It's the Beausejour Stadium, which is probably the most beautiful in the Caribbean. Its a fabulous setting and Darren Sammy's home ground.

Seems England spent most of their World Cup there - shows how much I was paying attention to that thrill-a-minute tournament...

'Sanga out' somewhere in between those three things happening. On the evidence of the Tests, I don't see why the Sri Lankans don't play Warnapura in the ODIs. This Udawatte's an Uber-Twat-Aye, and Tharanga's dour.
Edit; Thanks for that doctorspin you ****** twat.

Everything seems right with the world when the West Indies are winning cricket matches.

Were it not for Daren Powell's twattishness, WI wouldn't have lost a match in the entire series.
Re: West Indies v Sri Lanka, 3rd ODI, Gros Islet, 15th April
On the other side of the coin, wtf has happened to Sri Lanka's cricket? They've lost something like 8 of their last 10 ODI's.

Muzza hasn't played in loads of them, Jaya's been p!ss and now retired anyway. Just a transitional period. Some of the newbies look pretty good/really good.
Re: West Indies v Sri Lanka, 3rd ODI, Gros Islet, 15th April
Definitely some positive signs for the Windies. A recent Test win against South Africa, too ... and on a decent cricket wicket, so not to be sneezed at.

Well we now have some pacers who can get 20 wickets.
Taylor, Edwards and Bravo are a useful trio. We just need to get Jaggernauth in the team and then we will have a well balanced attack too.

The Windies fielding seems to have improved a lot recently.

Rampaul, Sammy or Collymore too. Then you'd have two quick quicks, two medium pacer quicks and one spinner. And you've got a quality keeper in Ramdin. A quality captain in Gayle. A quality middle order in Chanders, Sarwan and Samuels and a quality opener in Gayle. Things are certainly looking up!

Re: West Indies v Sri Lanka, 3rd ODI, Gros Islet, 15th April
Yeah I'd say we are close to being competitive in tests, and a decent ODI unit.
I hope we can compete well in all three tests against Australia, maybe even winning one of them (probably at Sabina Park which suits our pacers).
That might seem unlikely but its good to aim high. I would never have dreamed that we would have thrashed SA in a test in their own backyard, but we did.
