Zizi Jeanmaire

I've often wondered WTF she was so i googled her. She was a Ballet dancer of no particular merit. Probably made more famous by Peter Sarstedt's song than she ever was in life.

I once saw a documentary about her. I was very impressed. She had a touch of magic about her.

It isn't that easy for some of us that have a face like a horse's arse & a personality to match.

Perhaps the problem was his contradictory identity.

A bit like Dick Cunis in other words - for all his rigorous efforts, he never quite managed to penetrate into the mainstream of popular affection.

Reminds me of one of my first trips to Sydney in the very early seventies. Went to a pub where the resident band was 'Buster Hymen & the Penetrators'. I don't think they went very far.

That was a very common band name!

... once played as 'Lance Boyle and the Sex Pustules'.

I know it's been done before but US swimmer Misty Hyman always cracked me up. I can't believe what roobs her parents where to give her that combo. Cool
