You have to question the wisdom of picking Kallis for a 20/20 match - mind you, the rest were carp!

I don't like this. I am going to be torn between two forums now.
btw was it a surprise or was it a conincidence that the most highly paid cricketers in IPL i.e. McCullum and Ishant performed well yesterday ?

Yet another 2020 game that was effectively over after 22 overs.

Eventually even the target audience will tire of this?

You'd think so - they aren't known for a long attention span.

Had to chuckle at the owner of the Knight Riders doing the happy dance in front of the railings in his box seat.

I differ.
there was always an audience in the subcontinent that lusted for 'hit and giggle' format. Even during tests and ODIs this section of the crowd would come alive after a few lusty blows.
this format is tailored for them, and they are going to love it.
It is also going to divide ODI audience, between those who want 2020 action and those who want the classical format.
I think the demise of ODI is imminent.

My favourite moment was near the end of the match when Ponting burst out laughing after dropping a catch off Ganguly's bowling.

And at one time ODI cricket was revolutionary and Packer's style was frowned upon.
