Re: England's performance squad 2008
I reckon that some of these boys, ones like Onions, Mackmud, Jonah, Plunks, Trott are being just left to get some cricket under their belts. Peeps like Nixon and FFS are poss too old to need to be in the squad, Dalrymple's gash, not sure why Joyce isn't about, Sales is obviously fat. As Dello said, I'm up for Key/Rashid/Carberry being about. I'd like to see any of them in an England shirt.
Re: England's performance squad 2008
Also, last year's squad was a 25-man affair.
So, having dumped 10 players (is that 40% - maths is not my forte), is that an admission that they picked the wrong players - and confirmation of their selectorial incompetence?

Everyone who isn't centrally contracted is free to get as much cricket under their belts as their clubs insist. Makes no difference whether they're in the development squad or not.

Yeah, but I meant 'left alone'. As in, we don't want to f*ck with you - like letting go of your kid's bike to let him try balancing himself.

I saw Samit in Nottingham the other week and he was fine - by no means as fat as Key or Sales.

Bullshit. He's at least as fat.
