House
I watched an episode of House last night where he was trying to discredit an old college rivals reasearch ...
The guy had published it in an Indian medical journal and House greeted him with what I'm sure was "Teri maaki"
He said it in a way that made it sound like he was saying 'Bon Giorno' to an Italian ...I wonder if the writers actually knew what it supposedly means ...

Re: House
And I wonder how many ethnic Indians will be calling the station in outraged protest against that sort of language.

House said 'You're a monkey' in a cheeky, affectionate way. Nothing wrong with that.

Re: House
I want the number of the station that did this unforgivable insult, not the Brit PM's street address.

Re: House
That is the number of the station. We have Channels Two (ABC), Seven, Nein and Ten, plus SBS which usually is shown as 28.

I am thinking of a witty reply. Don't call us, we'll call you.

When I saw the title, I expected that this thread was going to be about Graham House announcing that he was coming out of retirement & offering his services as Australia's new leg-spinner.

Re: House
Actually House makes a lot of what some might view as Racist insults. He is always going on about Foreman's skin coulour (black) and how he was probably thief in his young days purely as a stereo type.

Aye. It's so well written but it's brought alive by Laurie's acting.

Hugh has accused the Brit media of coldshouldering him since he went Stateside.
Just thought I'd say that.

Bit strange that, there was shitloads of stuff about House in our media when it started.Hard for someone to be in the media spotlight when they're overseas.
