What if Lanka had a really bad night after today's loss?

Expect Malinga to take wickets without conceding many and Tharanga to score runs.

Not so sure, expect the Bangladeshis to go batting-berserk.

bhogle is like the irritating college boy intern who thinks he knows it all
during india v pakistan:
bhogle: "of course this now means that scotland are out of the tournament"
gooch: "yes. they'll be on the next british airways flight back home"
bhogle: "but scotland isnt part of britain is it?"
gooch: "britain is england, northern ireland, scotland and wales"
bhogle: "every englishman i speak to tells me something different. ive heard that the scottish absolutely despise the english"

Sadly, he was once quite good. A few movie appearances, endorsements and a show named after him, probably started to believe his own hype.

I guess the Lankans will be peed off after today, expect a massive hate ravaged minnow bash, with Jayasuriya scoring 200 off 60 balls.

SL are masters of minnow bashing but i reckon todays defeat hit them hard in terms of self belief. this game might be close, jayasuriya to go early. 1 man team? cant see SL beating aus so PAK/AUS to face NZ/SA in the semis...

Hmm not sure if they are a one man team, i was just shocked at how well we performed, they have got decent bowlers and batsmen, Jayasuriya is due some failures after the way he has started.
NZ in the semis looks tasty! but you never know Ind/Eng still can sneak through.

SL look a different team when jayasuriya isnt firing. cant see india beating SA, they bat too deep and have some good hitters. england depend heavily on on KP. though an india-pak semi or final would be awesome

And we insist on playing Ajit Agarkar and 5 bowlers.

its amazing. every team bats down to 9 or 10 except us (and aus but they dont need to). against NZ when we were 4 wkts down, mcullum was firing up his bowlers by saying how theyre "1 wkt away"

Some of it can, IMO, be attributed to inexperience in T20 matches. One intl., and very very few domestics before the WC. They won't have that excuse next match.
Yusuf Pathan MUST play. Don't know how well he'll do, but surely beter than what Agarkar and Sreesanth have done.
