Is this the longest test thread to date?

Ah I see. He's moved up the list past one of Hobbs' scores, but not Hobbs' highest score, which isn't Englands highest score v SAF anyway, (though it probably is at Lords). Hardly worth mentioning really.

Yep it was a kind of topbottomish comment really.

Bit of uneven bounce around, but hey, that's cricket.

Time for Amla to step up to the plate / come to the party / show us what he's made of / stand up and be counted / insert nonsensical cliché here

Sooky's horror batting run against England continues.
He's not put a foot right since he won the toss.

Yes! Sir Geoffrey's just given it the "corridor of uncertainty" treatment on TMS.
Oh, and Broad's got a wicket too...

Crappofo says: "In walks Kallis, yet to score an international run at Lord's in his legendary career."
Can this be true??

Smith has played 20 test innings against England now, for 991 runs.
Astonishingly, 62% of those runs came in the first three innings, leaving 38% of them from the last seventeen innings.
Do you think we've worked him out?

I haven't been able to follow much of this for one reason or the other, but LLL, the dodgy link you sent me doesn't seem to be working any more. Anyone got one that does?
Well done to Bell, anyway. Do they do ball transplants on the NHS?
Oh, and congratulations to Danny, as well.

Decent morning for England. Would have been nice if Prince hadn't been been allowed to runaway like an angry Ian Bell, but I suppose three wickets is a good return so far. Broad still bowling a mixture of rubbish and magic though. Need more from him.

A good morning but need to shift McKenzie - always rated him.
Nobodys going to be blasted out on this pitch, just need to winkle them out....

If we do manage to win this (pretty unlikely at the moment), do you reckon we should play 11 batsman for the rest of the series? I think that's the way to go. Play 11 batsman but still leave Owais Shah out for a laugh.
MONTY!!!!!!!!!!! You beauty!
