Re: Ten to have a Sports Channel ?
It's about time Fox had some competition. Their scheduling, and the quality of their live feeds (When was the last time a live cricket game on Fox wasn't interrupted by a break in transmission at some stage?) is pretty awful.

Anything that dilutes Nein's grip on sport has to be a good thing.

Don't know what it's showing here. Haven't bothered with HD yet, I don't believe there's anything different on it in my part of the world yet.

Re: Ten to have a Sports Channel ?
My understanding is that the SD channel will show the 'major' sports broadcasts, but the HD will basically become 24 hour sport. On the weekend just gone they showed some pre-season stuff (like on the SD channel) but also golf and gridiron (I think)...Zat wrote:Don't know what it's showing here. It starts on 26.03.09 ...they will call it One (but it's Ten HD)
They have been advertising a footy panel show on Monday nights ...Walls and 1/4maine are the ten experts ...Richo highpants and Harley are the footy talent
Ten HD has been showing Golf and NBA recently as well as the NASCAR and NFL which they have shown for a while

I read in the paper that when they were showing the world matchplay golf, Tiger Woods' first round in competition since coming back from injury, they cut it abruptly to go to 'David and Kim'.
Not an auspicious portent of things to come.
