Non-Subi fans: do you care who wins Monday's final?
India start as favourites but I hope both teams give it their 'Twenty20 cricketing all'!

No, I don't even care that I'm working and I've got a dentist appoinment, which I almost cancelled when I realised it was the day of the final, but I somehow had a feeling that England wouldn't be there.

Why the chuff did they schedule the final for a Monday? Especially when you consider that both teams will be sat around doing nothing all of tomorrow.

Can't see much work/studying being done by the combined Indo/Pak populace on, and outside, the Sub-continent on Monday!

i have a feeling this is going to be one fixed PoS. Bookies are going to laugh their way to the banks.
Though the second semi's were a bit more convincing than the first one, the way it all sets up looks a bit too scripted for my taste.

Reading comments from other forums, some hilarious.
Effigy-builders from both countries will be the busiest workers tomorrow!!!
Whoever wins on Monday should, thereafter, possess Kashmir, Lal Quila and Taj Mahal!!!

You can have Shoaib Akhtar. He's really good you know. Or you can have our beloved Musharraf. The choice is yours.

Oh, don't worry; it's a meaningless little contest with a worthless prize being fought over by neighbours, nothing to write about in the sports pages!!!!!

No, we can't give away Benazir because she's going to be the next PM and clean up the funds we have.

'Non-Subi fans: do you care who wins Monday's final?'
As a Yorkshireman, that's like being asked who you would prefer to win the County Championship, Sussex or Lancashire.
While I dislike the PCB and Shoaib with a passion, the Indian teams new found 'aggression' is starting to get on my nerves big time, especially Khan and Sreenaff. Yuvraj is another, fair enough he exchanged words with Flintoff but what's all that posturing and threatening behaviour about? If only that confrontation had reached it's natural conclusion, eh? Hell, even the normally mild mannered Harbhajan seems to have been affected as his four letter tirade after taking a wicket against the South Africans clearly shows. Srinaff, bless him, made me smile again today, I just loved the way he got arsey with 2' 6" Brad Hodge and later refused to make eye contact with Symonds, what a hard man he is.
I'm all for a bit of aggression, but unlike players such as Brett Lee, Flintoff and Pietersen who are willing to follow up a snarl with a smile the Indians seem to be just spiteful and full of hate. Imo it's getting out of hand and I heartily recommend the odd after match 'shoeing' to get them back on the straight and narrow.

Re: Non-Subi fans: do you care who wins Monday's final?
yeah right. you're just miffed you didnt pick them in your team and its cost you your 'yellow jersey' now they're in the final.
seriously though, i agree about santh, harbhajan and even RP singhs elbow towards pollock was uncalled for. they should probably get a fine. whats yuvraj done? however id much rather see a bit of passion than players just going through the motions. theyre young and when theyre pumped up it will show. footballers get away with a lot more. and harbhajan mild mannered?!?!

Don't really care, but hope it's a nail bitingly close game like their previous encounter.

I heartily endorse these comments, but aren't they a teensy-weensy bit at odds with your reply to my post about Graeme Pollock deliberately or not deliberately obstructing KP?

My dad's always banging on about how we've got a very, very distant indian ancestor, so it'll have to be india for me. Mind you, I'm considerably more scottish than I am indian, and I'm not very scottish at all, to the degree I laugh when scotland lose things, so I suppose there isn't much logic there.

Probably Bas, probably, but I'd had a few sherbets that night and to my eternal shame, decided to go fishing. The fact I never went back to see if I'd had a reply speaks volumes.
You'll be pleased to know the above post is for real. After all, tonight Ive only drunk one bottle of vodka so it must be.

If you're talking about RP's celebration then the elbow is completely unintentional. The same thing happened in the test series when RP dismissed Pietersen. And Pietersen gave RP the same look Pollack did.
What RP needs to do is delay the jump, more more away to the side or get a new celebration.

Yeah, Harbhajan, mild-mannered?
If you'd noticed the Ind-Eng match closely, there was a lot of friendly banter between Yuvraj and Flintoff even before 'the incident' and it was always followed up with an exchange of smiles by both chaps. Yuvraj's behaviour is as friendly on the field as those other players' you mention (and maybe a notch above Pietersen's). But let not facts come in between a man and his bitterly wrong judgement.
Reg. Sreesanth and Harbhajan, point taken.
