Good News! Brett Lee's foot f*cked.
From ABC Online:
---------------------------
The day got worse for the Australians with news Brett Lee will miss the rest of the match and is likely to be out for the series with a left foot injury.
---------------------------
Don't know about that making the day worse. I'm PMSL.

Alex Kountouris, team physio says they're willing to risk Lee in the second innings of this match.

Even if does bowl as poorly as he has been in this series, he's still gotta be better value than Hussey or Clarke.Zat wrote:Alex Kountouris, team physio says they're willing to risk Lee in the second innings of this match.

Paris took a wicket in his first over of the match. Better than anything Blee's done against the Saffies so far.

He got lucky with a tailender going the tonk. Besides, if he had of been under it the ball would have landed on his scone, going by his efforts later on.freddled gruntbuggly wrote:Paris took a wicket in his first over of the match. Better than anything Blee's done against the Saffies so far.

Had to laugh at the the Nob when he alluded to the fact that Lee's absence had contributed to the bad day Aus had.
FFS.
Carn down, Milf.

Siddle and Johnson probably didn't rest as much as they would have otherwise. Must have affected them later on.skully wrote:Had to laugh at the the Nob when he alluded to the fact that Lee's absence had contributed to the bad day Aus had.

Re: Good News! Brett Lee's foot f*cked.
Siddle and Johnson bowled tosh for the first 30 minutes. If they had've bowled like they did yesterday, Bung's absence would've meant nothing.
And it's a bit sad when the absence of last year's premier Aus quick is lamented because he wasn't there to give rest to the other quicks. The Yarps were 7-fer FFS.

He bowled an outstanding spell into the wind at Perth, I've not seen Hussey bowl that well before.freddled gruntbuggly wrote:*shrug* Still better than Blee's efforts.Cracka wrote:He got lucky with a tailender going the tonk.freddled gruntbuggly wrote:Paris took a wicket in his first over of the match. It could be for the greater good. Make him bowl twenty overs straight in the second innings, he breaks down permanently, we lose the series but Blee is gone forever.

It's a start. They're also still saying he'll bowl in the SAf second innings. Which will probably further f*ck his foot.Nath wrote:Zat wrote:Reports this morning suggesting 6 weeks off. Huzzah!

Link: Lee aims for Ashes comeback.
From the link:
If that's the 'hope' maybe the reality will be longer...
From the link:
Australia's physio Alex Kountouris said if Lee's rehabilitation from the combined injuries went well he should be available for the ICC World Twenty20 in England in June ahead of the Ashes tour, which begins later that month.
