The Gabba outfield is appalling at the moment.
I suspect they might give Hussey Sr a rest for this match.

On the bright side, hopefully good things will be done with the money raised.

Ponting himself may rest, with Clarke captaining the Aussie side.

I didn't think Clarke was in the squad. Or was that just for the first game.

Pretty sure Clarke's not in the T20 squad.
I guess Paris might captain in his absence.

Apparently there's still tickets available.
Given that the crowd was 13000 below expectations for Melbourne, what does it suggest?

that it is on the telly?
confess I watched the 'game' (?) last night...but even tho I now live within 10 minute's walk of the G, it did not occur to me to go and pay per view...
that fat 2nd grade 3rd wicket down basher can sure smite the ball..
I actually think that the bills may get a large crowd...they have not had any interesting cricket all summer...the local billies not being up to much and the test being one against the snoozies, the bills may be starved of cricket and be conned into attending

he is in third grade!!
prolly would have gone better than the out of sorts bog...but who really cares ...
while I have no doubt that players on both sides were trying, i had the distinct impression that winning or losing is not the main thing

South Africa 1 Herschelle Gibbs, 2 Hashim Amla, 3 AB de Villiers, 4 JP Duminy, 5 Vaughn van Jaarsveld, 6 Mark Boucher (wk), 7 Albie Morkel, 8 Johan Botha (capt), 9 Dale Steyn, 10 Morne Morkel, 11 Wayne Parnell. AB is in doubt with his hip injury.
Australia is likely to include Harris for his home game but Hauritz unlikely to be included.
Warner was mobbed at Brissie airport.
I think another reason why the crowd was down was because it was a Sunday night and people are now going back to work. It was televised against the gate.

Surely they'd be crazy to risk AB?
Who does Harris play instead of? Hopes is the obvious one but he's a Billy too.

LAst year's game was televised against the gate.
Then again, last year's game was a 'spectacle' wasn't it? Inida scored what, 75? And Australia got the runs in about 6 overs?
Is it possible that the Melbourne audience is waking up to t20i being shoite?

True. There's a lot of them support Richmond, Collingwood, and Essendon.embee wrote:Zat wrote:LAst year's game was televised against the gate.
