Players and their Golden Tours
Just got me thinking from my last post.
Obviously Bradman had many "Golden" tours against England home and away, racking up reams of runs proving that he is one of the greats, if not the greatest batsmen of all time.
What are other International players golden tours...
Andrew Strauss' maiden tour of South Africa in 2004/05 was a memorable "Golden" Tour for him.
He averaged 72.88 with 3 centuries and 1 half-century.
Also scored 656 runs in that particular 5 test series (which was one of the best non-Ashes 5 test Series, I've seen).
The fact that he was against the likes of Pollock, Ntini, Nel, Steyn, Langeveldt, Kallis and others in the series, really proves that the tour was probably his most successful of his Career so far.

126, 94*, 25, 136, 45, 39, 147, 0, 44, 0
Ended with a whimper, but he was mostly red hot.
The ODIs followed and Pietersen - in his debut series - went: 22*, 108*, 33, 75, 100*, 116
He too was quite warm.

Didn't Hammond have a big one against NZ as well.
However since it was against NZ it might not count.

28/29 V Aus: 905 runs
32/33 V NZ 563 runs - 2 innings - highest 336* That might be what you were thinking of.
