Lara Lara Laughs wrote:How good is Patrice Evra? The man is all class. Best left back in the world for me and probably the best left back since Maldini used to play there. And yes, I do mean that he's better than Robbie Carlos.

Edit: I forgot Zambrotta. He's as good as Evra. Maybe slightly better because of his attacking ability.

Edit 2: Arggh. Forgot Ashley Cole....

Not sure about Zambrotta. A right winger converted into a left-back - don't much rate the defensive side of his game.

Ashley Cole's shite. Arsenal got a great deal in getting shot of that self-regarding shit-muncher whilst picking up Big Willie Galles into the bargain.

Gael Clichy is better than Cole.

Ashley Cole is class in the respect that when he commits a foul he has perfected the art of jumping up and down on the spot, throwing the toys out of the pram and mouthing at the ref all at the same time.

It seems to be a Chelsea thing, Terry has been acting like a untouchable ever since he became England captain, if he stayed on today i'm sure he would have got sent off.

arsenal kids (avg age 20) beat blackburn aet 3-2, absolutely cracking game. its becoming a familiar story now, arsenal have a great 1st half the opposition comes back strong after the break.

diarra puts in a timely performance - could put flamini under pressure.

could well be liverpool v everton and spurs v arsenal in the semis!

got to be embarrasing for blackburn when you field your 1st XI to lose to the Arse reserves.

Looked like that result gave Wenger a lot of pleasure

More embarrasing for the Arsenal first XI who only drew 1-1 at Blackburn earlier in the season...

Two words for her: Mutton. Lamb.

And Ashley Cole's barely the best left back at Chelsea.

Not much love lost on him a couple of nights ago ... from the fans and players alike.

Eh? She's 24.

And he definitely is the best left back at Chelsea. In fact, he's definitely the best English left back around.

Don't say Leighton Baines.

Why would I say Leighton Baines?

Being the best English left back around is hardly a claim to fame.

Unless you hadn't noticed, England are the laughing stock of world football.

It's like being the best shit-eater - the bottom line is you still eat shit.

He's one of the best left backs in the world anyway.

The top 5 left backs in the world are currently (in no particular order):

Evra
Abidal
Cole
Zambrotta
Lahm

Grosso perhaps unlucky to miss out. Jankulovski (sp?) too.

Clichy and Chiellini will join them at some stage. Perhaps Marcelo too, though he's far too attack minded.

I don't know how many times I have to say it but he was injured for most of last season. Had no chance to settle into the new team because he kept getting injured. This season he's been solid as usual.

And Clichy isn't one of the best left backs in the world yet, for me. He can't even get into the France side.
