Sorry, am I being too nosey?

Don't post conversations from other forums. If people want to read what's going on at that site, they can do so quite easily by visiting it.
We're not involved in some kind of turf war. They're just a cricket forum minding their own business.
Leave them alone.

Yeah. Maybe it's better to just point us to a thread there with a link or a description.

Yeah agreed. The year? 1989. The program? The Bill.
Re: Classic PP thread
Erm, I've seen "The Bill" come up a couple of times today, but never heard of it before. Some programme that was on TV before sanctions against us were lifted?Batfink Begins wrote:mynah wrote:My nomination for phrase of the year.turf war

Interesting that on PP it seems filosofee either posts complete drivel that is only related to cricket in that in it she sometimes squirts about how much she fancies Imran Khan, or posts trying to suss out if another forummer also posts on here.
If filosofee was a tree in the woods and there was no-one else around, would a bear shit on her?

I think this is the first reference to the TV program. It is still running. Probably has been for 25 years. 'The Bill' means Police. They use all sorts of sayings/slang on there.

No, but the Pope might (if he was a catholic).

Re: Classic PP thread
I once saw a thread in PP immediately after they lost finals of Twenty20 WC in which they were debating whether that was actually a WC or not.
And needless to say, quite a few of them were agreeing that it wasn't a WC.

Officially it wasn't. The first official T20 WC will be in 2009.
