My Email to Cricket Australia
Maybe all cricket fans should copy this and send it. Cricket Australia even has a 'contact us' section on their site that includes 'team selection' as a subject... Check out http://www.cricket.com.au/default.aspx?s=contact-us
Dear Cricket Australia,
As a life-long cricket fan, while I am disappointed to hear about the latest Andrew Symonds episode, I believe it presents Cricket Australia with agreat opportunity to give Australian cricket fans something they dearly want. A return of Shane Warne to national colours.
I know he has retired from international cricket, but as there was no t20 internationally when he announced his retirement, perhaps he could be persuaded to change his mind in these exceptional circumstances. I unerstand he is going to be in England for the tournament, so there would be no jet-lag issues to overcome, and the form he, and other recently-retured greats showed in the IPL demonstrated that he (and they) still have plenty to offer the shortest form of the game.
The selection of these players for t20 matches would also help alleviate the workload of the members of the more traditional forms of the game.
I know the idea may seem radical, but it seems thatthe older players can bring their experience and understanding to the shorter game just as effectively, if not more so, than many of the younger players beiung tried. Perhaps it could even be seen as a 'mentorship' scheme in future.
Every scheme has to start somewhere, how about starting this with Shane Warne?
Regards,
Zat.

Nice try though. Forward thinking from CA?
How many square bears and coke had you had when you thought they'd swallow that concept?

You might want to run that through a spell checker before you send, Zatty.
Mind you, Aussie to Aussie? Nah, don't bother on second thoughts.

It's like a desparate boyfriend clinging on to the ankles of a departing girlfriend.

Although I'd go a little easy on the slut bit.

The slut in this particular case can fark ten men at once as long as they're all wearing England jumpers.

The last one I sent to Miller didn't even get a reply. Maybe they see me as some sort of spam psycho, like Bucky.... who knows.
I felt unloved though.
Almost like my opinion doesn't count for much in the upper echelons of the ECB hierarchy.
Re: My Email to Cricket Australia
Was that the one where you openly questioned Ian Bells genitalia, and whether he had any at all?

No, I've e-mailed him since. Was quite a polite one, about whether David Sales was left out of the T20 30-manner because he was injured, fat or because they don't think he's good enough.

Nay lad.
I reckon I go into their 'Spam' folder.
Or their 'Twat' folder.

Yeah, maybe, although I'll probably end up stabbing Giles Clarke instead. I can't do hard time, they'll probably force skag down my veins.
Re: My Email to Cricket Australia
Kill two birds with one stone at that visit.
Giles Clarke just has one of those faces you instantly just want to punch, so I see where you worry comes from.
I had a mate of mine deliver a message off disgust to Flower and Miller at Lords the other night about Luke Wrights inclusion ahead of Rob Key. Not sure they listened however!

Nice one.
Good job you weren't accountable for that comment - there'd have been Geoff Miller looking like a smug pug-dog rather than a bored and unflinching one.

Was it really true that the England selectors used to watch C4 to gain information on players?

They just used to talk to a bloke who knew a bloke who'd seen a player once and made a snap judgement. Now they just use the Choco-Sado-Masochism-F*ckfest that Dello outlines.
