He's obviously been reading some old threads from Flaming Bails.
Re: Cricket Australia killing Test Match Cricket.
I get the feeling that CA will need to take this mirage trip and chase the "golden goose" much like BCCI did / does before a balance is struck globally and the realization dawns, that what really keeps Cricket ticking is international rivalry, unlike soccer where club games rule the roost both from a popularity and revenue perspective.
I am sure CA will see the light well before BCCI.

I am sure that quite a few will be back for some banter during the Aussie series. TO appears to be posting regularly anyway.

It's funny how Slater never says things like this during channel nine's coverage......
He nearly wets himself with excitement when describing another Warner slog over mid wicket in a T20.

Or when he is talking about Clarke.
And Healy seems to have forgotten that there is some difference between being a supposedly neutral commentator versus having his sixth beer and rooting for the home team from the hill.
Won't mind seeing Bill "It is all happening" Lawry back in place of Healy.

Aye, now let's see who here is Slats...
Not rocket surgery that the plethora of MTT games will have a significant impact, not only on Tests but the 50 over a side game as well.

CA began to ruin test cricket when they selected the likes of Renneburg, Martin, Corling, Rorke, Simpson, aa O'Neill and Harvey (after he moved to NSW)...the coup de grace was Bruce Francis...test cricket has never recovered

Which personality was Slats "in" at the time? Sounds like he's back on the meds at least.

Off his meds? Phurt! They've gone the same route as every other country, then pretty much chucked a gallon of whipped cream and a pound of cherries on top. England are lucky in that the smaller counties were way to parochial to allow the bigger greedy clubs to create franchises. We're better off for it, I'm sure.

I read somewhere that Lawry now commentates only for MCG games. Is it true?
