More millionaires in China than in Britain now.
According to an article in today's Independent, page 38. Survey of the super rich by Capgemini / Merrill Lynch World Health Report reveals that the number of UK's "high net worth" people (possessing investable assets exceeding £607m) dropped from 491,000 in 2007 to 362,000 at the end of 2008, which is 2000 less than the same type in China.
However, the US and Japan still retain the largest number of high net worth individuals.

Considering China's population and fast economic growth, it's hardly surprising.

Sarcasm? 70% of China's population still lives in poverty.

true distribution of wealth can only happen when the anglo-judaic tyranny over the world is uprooted and replaced by dharam yug.
negativist creeds need to be negated and thrown into the dustbin of history. High time

Come on. 1 billion plus in China, 60 million odd jammed into Britain with crowbars. It's well beyond time one backward developing country overtook the other.

Well seeing as you are kindly taking our racists off our hands, maybe our average IQ will go up.

Am I reading this wrong. That would suggest the UK had 491,000 paper USD billionaires?

No mistake. We're all rolling in it over here.
Explains why we have no inclination to get good at cricket.
Or at very much else.
Apart from making mountains of dosh, obviously.
