black/eucalypt coloured armband day for the waughs
Sam the Koala - famously pictured in the aftermath of the terrible Victorian bushfires (a firefighter was pictured giving the severely singed koala a drink from his waterbottle) - passed away yesterday during an operation to remove ovarian cysts.
The cysts were caused by clymaedia an affliction affecting 50% of Australia's favourite protected species.
'
no flowers by request...altho Australia's two most famous cricketing koalas have requested the Australian team to wear eucalypt coloured armbands during the Headingly Test.

Why are Koalas pestered by Ovarian Cysts and the Waughs by Horrie?

Horrie and the Cysts. Bob Marley and the Wailers had nothing on those guys.

I've always had a problem with your description of the Waughs as Koalas. "Not to be exported or shot at" is the normal joke. I only wish the first was law and the second not, particularly in India in 2001.

Wasn't it Clip Clop Club who first came up with the Koala thing?

they were indistinguishable anyway - whatever they posted could safely assumed to be gibberish and ignored
