Possible England Lions squad for the winter
I assume they're touring somewhere?
How about-
Batsmen
Denly
Carberry
Bell
Bopara
Joyce(c)
Hildreth
Keepers/all rounders
Foster
Kieswetter
Wright
Bresnan
Bowlers
Woakes
Fletcher
Tremlett
Panesar
J.Harris
Rafiq
Bell and Bopara are unquestionably 2 of the most talented batsmen in England. Whether they will ever have the temperament for the top level is another matter. Joyce has had a solid season and is a good, experienced player these days. he captains the side. Azeem Rafiq is a bit of a bolter- 18 year old off spinner and extremely handy batsman who already has a first class century to his name. I hear good things.
Thoughts?

if this is true God help English cricket.
Apart from Englishmen I dont think anyone else is interested in the English team these days...they are just so insignificant, they are well down the list.
I may be an idiot, but I am a honest idiot.why dont you take a deep look at your muppets that represent England, surely to God you can see what the rest of the wholeworld can see.????

If you poms are prepared to keep on paying your hard earned money to watch the garbage that they are dishing out, then that is your perogative, we would not tolerate it in Australia where we expect our team to win all the time,(and we aren't disappointed very often)
Why do you poms always throw insults at people that have posted truthful criticisms on this forum,I realise that it must be because of the total frustration of knuckling under to the Aussies yet AGAIN....JUST LEARN TO ACCEPT THIS AS IT WILL NO DOUBT CONTINUE FOR A LOT MORE YEARS.We accept we are below our usual & expected standard of play,BUT,...WE ARE STILL LIGHT YEARS IN FRONT OF ENGLAND.

No offence to Panesar, but he's had his chance at the top level and at the moment, he's blown it.
Doesn't Northants tour somewhere in the Winter or off-season?
http://www.flamingbails.com/the-flaming-bails-cricket-forum-f1/should-domestic-teams-tour-countries-more-often-t3945.htm?highlight=domestic+tour
Instead of Panesar, I'd think about Beer, Waller, Tredwell or Rayner. Monty will probably end up touring SAF with the full squad; unless Rashid takes a bagful toward the end of the season. No way in hell would they take 3 spinners to SAF.

Rayner is far from the worst offie in the country, tall nice action. Disagree with you on this one - not that he's the bees knees, just not a total gashlord like Jon Maunders.

Oh JK, please! He is bog-standard at best as off-spinners go.
And he is a total gashlord!

You seem to have omitted a talented little truck shaped batsman from your list there, Henry. I shall allow you time to remedy this egregious error.

Better prospect than Batty, and that Gasher played for England less than 6 months ago!

Batty is a better bowler than Raynor, and thats saying something. On that basis that Batty is a gasher, my original statement about Raynor stands!
A gashlord of the highest order!
