Could we pick an all-SA born England side?
Well, the batting would look pretty strong at least - Strauss, Moore, Pietersen, Trott, ?, Prior. Who could fill the last batting place, and who is there in terms of bowling? Must be England qualified or very close to becoming so.

Could we? I hope so. Recent evidence suggests this should be a blueprint towards future success.

You could have also included Robin's brother Chris who preceded him into the England side in the 1980s, Monty Bowden who was vc to Aubrey Smith on England's inaugural tour of SA in 1888-9 and deputised for Smith in the second match at Newlands becoming England's youngest captain at 23, stayed in SA after the tour and played for Transvaal in the inaugural Currie Cup. He went on Cecil Rhodes' expedition to Rhodesia (as it then was) 3 years later but fell off a cart and died there.
Wally Hammond also migrated to South Africa and served in the SA air force during WWII. Frank Mitchell, who also played for Transvaal, also migrated to SA after the Boer War after playing 2 Tests on Lord Hawke's tour of SA in 1898-9 and came back to England as SA captain in the 1912 Triangular Tournament.
Frank Hearne who played 2 Tests on Smith's tour in 1888-9 also stayed in SA along with Bowden (Bowden opened a stockbrokers', Hearne a sports outfitters in Cape Town) and went on to play for Western Province. In the one-off Test played at Newlands in March 1892 he played for SA whilst his brothers, Alec and George, were in the England side. His son, another George, represented SA as a wicketkeeper on the 1924 tour of England. If you're short of a pace bowler how about J.J.Ferris who, although born in Sydney, represented England at Cape Town in 1892 and died in SA of enteric fever during the Boer War (one of at least 4 England players to die in SA along with Bowden, Hearne and Hammond)?

Neal Radford is also Zambian-born (or Northern Rhodesia as then was) and played for Transvaal for a decade, overlapping his Test career.

Just wait til Kieswetter qualifies and they pick him to keep with Prior playing as specialist bat. Possible Saffer 5 out of top 6.
