Is England the most mercurial Test team in cricket?
Or do the Aussies beat them to this accolade from their performances this past year?
Or are England currently the luckiest? That Clarke dismissal today ....................

England are not so much mercurial, as pickers of a terrible unbalanced side at Headingley.

And for the most part, lacking consistency.

England are becoming quite unpredictable it has to be said..... They went from the ridiculous to the sublime in this series and let's not forget they lost to the West Indies in March by getting steamrolled for 51................
They have the makings of a really good test team if they can make the batting more consistent and learn to bowl a lot better on flat pitches. In their own conditions they are extremely hard to beat and I think they will do pretty well in South Africa in November.

England are poor. Australia were just poorer.
Neither of India or Saf will fear England.
