How does ODIs and T20 both getting sh!t ratings correlate to ODIs being the saviour?
Looks to me more like T20 has managed to kill both ODIs and taken itself out at the same time.

According to TAM ratings, the India-Pakistan match during the Champions Trophy had a TRP of 6.2. - From the article.
What that may mean is that after the initial hype and euphoria where domestic IPL games got as high a rating as 9 in the first season, the fans may be favouring the national format.

CL's low ratings shouldn't surprise too many people because despite this being this FIRST tournament of its kind the standard of cricket was always going to be very average especially since the dodgy uncle didn't invite the teams from Pakistan.

Surely India playing Pakistan is going to boost the ratings in whatever format they play in. So using that as the comparison is not really accurate
