To be fair, Kaneria has been rubbish for a good part of his career, but he seems to be in pretty good form at the moment.

Leg spinners mature as they get older remember. If anything, the best of Kaneria is yet to come.

7fer at Sydney. Can't fault it. His time at Essex is certainly helping him. I just hope he hasn't picked up any of the local dialect.

He'll be ok as long as its a North Essex dialect. There are some distinctly Aussie-like sounding accents from the south east of the county!!

A couple of the fish and chip wrappers this morning are laying the blame at the feet of the ICC. It seems that the mandarins in Dubai have mandated a minimum of 3 days between Tests.Hass wrote:A couple of years ago Cricket Australia decided to have a minimum of 3 days between back-to-back tests.

Aye, given that Yarp/Yarp 2nd XI Test is also staring on the 3rd would suggest it's an ICC thing and not CA.Zat wrote:A couple of the fish and chip wrappers this morning are laying the blame at the feet of the ICC. Could be some rain about on day one and day five looking at the forecast, but not enough for any extended delays.

Meh, Spivtown needs the rain, but it'd be better if it was falling west of Penrith (in the dams) rather than over Randwick.
