I'm off to Glamorgan v West Indies A.
Yes, we're going for a bit of spice today at the SG.

Nice day in Spivtown today after days of torrential rain. Fark it heaved down yesty. 7 inches over a couple of days (as taccy's goat whispered in his ear). Wettest I've seen in a long time.
Farkin global warming.

The earlier term "Global warming" is now usually replaced by "Climate change".
It's not universally hotter and drier - though that is the overall tendency - it is universally less predictable, in general tending to more extreme, and in places at least more dangerous as a result. Especially in terms of floods, tsunamis, little showers in Oz, etc.

For you, no.
For Gloria goat, it would be traumatic. Three inches without pubic protection.

Hommage a Fromage
O great yet unseen leader
O curdy, friendly ghost
Benevolent dictator
Uno duce, unser Host.
Quo vademus? SkullsnLever
Bails’ fate bewailing pray ...
Fire up your fondue maker
And show us all the whey.

The leg spinner appears to have got 3 relatively cheap wickets. Smerky must be in heaven.

Cripes, Devon Smith still playing for WI 'A' ? He must've toured here ages ago with the A side.
I see India A are also touring. My 'tip' for the future got spanked for 134 off 25 overs. Cripes!!

Re: The sound of....
Devon Smith has always utterly dominated A team tours hence his selection as a leader to the younger players (I hope anyway).
Of course he got a 2nd ball duck today which is not the best example to set! I can't believe they aren't playing Braithwaite in this match, he should be playing every match for experience purposes.
At least it means he will definitely play against India A at Grace Road and I'll be there to watch him.

Re: The sound of....
We were appalling. Welsh sport was generally on the backfoot all day. Gareth Rees was the only person who actually grinded anything out. Lionel Baker's spell of bowling was pretty good, very accurate, quick and he didn't give anything away.
Odeon Brown isn't Shane Warne, and he didn't get many to turn, but he looked like he disguised the straight one quite well, as most of the wickets he took were due to poor judgement from the Glamorgan batsmen.

Brown always looked like a roller to me, he doesn't really give it a rip. At least Imran Khan tries to spin it a bit as a leg spinner. Still, it's a weak Windies A batting lineup in this match so a 1st innings lead for your guys wouldn't surprise me at all. Andre Fletcher.............. honestly.

Re: The sound of....
Yeah, saw Imran bowl a little - he didn't look too bad. Much Less of a gangly action as opposed to Brown, who was generally a more medium pace wrist spinner. Sent it down at a fair whack but didn't get the desired turn.
And as you say, WIFAN, there were random medium pacers such as Fudaddin who helped out here and there.
Baker is one to keep an eye on. Possibly Tonge too, but his performance didn't stand out for me today.

Re: The sound of....
Thanks for the report Smerky.
Unfortunately this A team isn't as strong as I thought it was going to be as Bravo, Pascal (pace like fiyah) and Shillingford all got flown home for the SA test series due to injuries in the senior squad.
Are you going tomorrow as well?

Not so. This prediction from the reportedly huggable one is from 7-8 years ago.

Pisspoor effort that, on JKL's part.
His commitment back then was admirable, his execution laughable.
