just checked the top 20 posters listing

aside from noting that Skully posts have reached stratospheric heights, I also noted that my sojourn away resulted in me dropping out of the top ten...the worst and most embarassing aspect of this is that at 12th I am in the spiv position of being immediately behind Mudge

I also miss the Mudge-packer, which I never thought particularly likely. I also miss Zat, for a start he was a fellow Carlton supporter.

Any loss of a regular thoughtful contributor is a sad loss.

I’m disappointed that Peter seems to have withdrawn. He was always Taipan’s main target - they never got on - so it’s strange that he would leave after taipan had already departed.

I’m presuming that some English and Australian posters currently absent might return for the Ashes. They’re not that far away really.

The Ashes “peaks” are getting shorter and shallower (if it’s effectively over after nine days of cricket, which is quite possible, it won’t do much for this place… maybe a 2005-style thriller would). A few people will probably pop their heads around the door briefly but that’s about as much as can be expected!
