FMD, QM gets 4-fer so Hildick can say "there, I told you so" and the lame duck will be a guaranteed starter for the JAMODI side.

Obviously dead rubber syndrome has hit the Lankans.

No, but it's obviously taken a lot for the idiot NSP to realise that's the case and start taking some action.Henry wrote:So all is well with Australian cricket then?

And a debut 4-fer for Mitchell Starc. Excellent to see a tall, upright and quick leftie coming through the ranks.

But none of the players that did well here will play at Brisbane. They'll persist with Johnson's bag of all sorts.

Why on earth did Ponting miss this match? When I first heard he was skipping this game to play a shield match, I assumed the shield match must be starting tomorrow. But it starts on Wednesday. WTF?! He could have easily played both this game and then the shield match.

I wonder if Sanga will complain that the pitch was not flat enough. Lankans were exposed again by the bouncing ball, dead rubber or not. Their top order also flopped in Sydney.
Interesting re. their test ranking - when was the last time they won a test series on bouncy pitches?

You really are an idiot, aren't you. Dilshan and Tharanga put on 70 odd at Sydney. They lost 4 wickets in making 213 before the rain came. How is that a flop?
Their batsman were mostly dismissed here today driving at full balls. But as is always the case with you Red, don;t let the facts etc......

Because he - like many modern players - is soft, and pampered and scared of a workload that seems moderate compared to that of players of days not too long ago, who also usually had full-time jobs as well.Henry wrote:Why on earth did Ponting miss this match?
And he's probably forgotten that there are hundreds of thousands of people who would crawl over broken glass if it meant they'd get to play for Australia.
