Would that be an acceptable euphemism for a frustrated player nowadays?

"Umpire, you're a complete and utter hatstand!"

On Nein, they just replayed Siddle's hat-trick ball.

I was watching the TV, but had the radio commentary up, so this is the first time I'd heard the inanities they went on with at the time.

The ball lands fair on Broad's toe, Tubby and TGM get all excited about the hat-trick, and then Nicklearse starts chiming in 'Not yet he hasn't... Not yet he hasn't... Not yet he hasn't... Because England will challenge it... They almost have to challenge it, given the situation of the match, they have to challenge it.'

And there's the crux of the problem. 'given the situation of the match they have to challenge it'. So irrespective of whether there's any merit in the challenge, it's a tactical situation.
