Lara to give ICL a miss?

Be a big blow to the ICL if this turns out to be true.

Latest report are that he has arrived in India and ready to for the start.

ICL officials have pointed the finger at BCCI for spreading these rumours to try and sabotatge the rebel outfit.

I was under the impression that every player who has recruited to the ICL will give it a miss.......On the basis that it wont get off the ground anymore. Who is honestly going to want to watch some retired greats looking for a bit of extra cash half heatedly running around when the current superstars of the game have all signed up to the IPL?

How does the "retired" status of the greats matter when the "current superstars" are also of more or less the same age?

The retired players wont be trying as hard. Mentally they have switched off a bit.

Anyway, apart from Lara, who have the ICL got? Nathan Astle? Yeah, what a drawcard....Chris Harris? It will be riveting stuff....

Anyhow, there's Lara, Inzi, Cairns, Astle, Harris, Bevan, Boje, Klusener, McMillan, Darren Maddy, Razzak, Azhar Mahmood, Imran Farhat, Andrew Hall, Hamish Marshall, Tuffey, Russell Arnold, Badani, Ian Harvey, Stuart Law, Cwis Wead, Nixon (), Solanki, van der Waath and couple of other starters/failures.

Apart from the first three on that list I wouldnt pay more than $5 to see that lot in action.

why waste $5. rather spend it on a movie

its only chandra's ego thats keeping this going. it was always a losing proposition once the IPL was announced. at least he made the bcci get off their asses

The real draw card for me here is that BCCI is now not a monopoly and also the very many 17-23 year old Indian youngsters that have been roped in by ICL.

It's been good for the players, ICL. And they do get first fcrack at the public. IPL isn't starting before April.

Will the young Indian players recruited by the ICL be accepted back into Indian cricket by the BCCI when the tournament is over? Common sense says that they should forgive them and welcome them back with open arms. But it's the BCCI, so.....
