Not at all - I'm impressed by his ability to catch a ball bowled at 85mph between his wrists. Quality party piece. Can probably catch a bullet between that gap in his teeth too.
The fun never ends with a Matty Prior. Available at all good retailers nationwide.

To be fair, he does have a bit of the Action Man (R) about him.

Clarke going about it the right way. Positively, but not stupidly.
Not sure he's the securest though. On verra, as they say in France.

Do you think England could slip Monty on for a couple of overs to Clarke? Incognito, like.

So, Watto ends the series with 435 runs @ 48.
Hughes: 97 runs @ 16.
Hughes: 97 runs @ 16.

Athers rather perversely suggested the other day that Aus should stick with Hughes beyond this series.
I just can't see how he'll make any runs against good attacks with that technique. Those two hundreds first up were freak events due mainly to South Africa not knowing anything about him.

In fairness, you can't predict how much an ambitious batsman can learn.
The problem might be if he thinks he knows best already.

He's gone backwards. The only shots he has are off side slashes, and he knows he'll be chastised if he gets out slashing. A good team will just hammer away on a length until the inevitable poked edge.

Tremlett's been a bit floaty so far in this innings. Needs to hit the pitch.

Nothing in the pitch. It's a featherbed.
Re: Australia v England, 5th Test, Sydney, January 3-7, 2011
It's easy for Clarke to bat like the wonder kid again now that the series is gone.
