Test debut in 1949, last test in 1976 - did he play every decade though?

Aye, he did ...... along with 2 others - and one who played in 5 decades.

The 5 decades must be Wilfred Rhodes?

Would guess the others would be Hobbs (did he make it as late as the 30s?) and maybe Woolley?

Woo hoo, I like trivia which is difficult enough not to know the answer to but easy enough to guess without having to use Cricinfo (e.g. not all those questions like Which 3 ODI's featured 5 batsmen making a score of between 24 and 27 where at least 3 were dismissed by left arm seamers....
