Well....there is nothing terminal at least. Just as well the Libs wer'nt running a Labor type deficit when they lost power otherwise it would be a completely different story....and yes, deficits arn't always a bad thing but when you waste as much money as this current government has done and the PM is proposing to tax every breath we exhale, you have to start asking when & where it will end.

Bwahahahaha. How's those opinion polls looking, JGK? As BD hints, you are becoming a bit of a lone wolf on this one. But I guess we are all stoopid, except for you, ay?

Any further opinion on the young electrical apprentices killed in roofs? Akin to war deaths, no? I wonder who is mislead? columbo

Forgive me for questioning your credentials and impartiality on matters pertaining to decisions made by the Labor Party.

Anyway...Gillards time is nearly up. Two terms is the average for a Labor government before the great unwashed wake up the the huge mistake they made by voting them in & return the coalition to clean up the mess.

If the dumb bint doesn't start listening to the heaving ground swell of opinion instead of being a stubborn "I'm going to do the right thing, no matter what the electorate thinks" Bob Brown puppet, the voters will be taking a baseball bat to her chances in about 18 months.

Unfortch Work Choices 07 was LJH's version of John Hewson's 91 Fightback, that included the GST. IMHO it's what stopped him getting another term.

I like it how out of context you bring up a discussion we had about 6 months ago but steer clear of directly addressing the one we are having now. Well played. LJH would be proud of you.

Er, no. It is merely an attempt to point out how irrational you can be when discussing matters pertaining to the Labor Party. Completely in context, thanks very much. But if you wish to retract that loony statement at any time, I will be happy to reconsider my position on the credibility of your political opinions. Cool

Took me a while as I was having a hoot reading through all three of the Aus Federal Election 2010 Thread. Jezus we had some great discussions in those threads. Laughing

Anywho, JGK's immortal statement in response to the deaths of electrical apprentices and the 170 house fires attributed to the Pink batts debacle was...

"JGK wrote: 32 people died in the building of the Harbour Bridge. 3 Diggers were killed in Afghanistan today. Bad things can happen when you try to acheive good."

So dying in the 30s on a major construction when no OH&S laws existed and dying in wars is comparable to the deaths of electrical lackeys in the Pink Batts fiasco. Gold!!!

I await JGK's vehement defence of his statement. Laughing

If ever JGK runs for public office, I suggest his slogan should be "Bad things can happen when you try to acheive good."

JGK is it hard to be lectured on irrationality by someone who one post after I criticised her(Gillard) tried to burn me for 'leaping to her defence"?

I think Skulls is either off the reservation again or his meds. Best to steer clear for awhile.

Agree. I should take my own advice. But I did want to remind people that the things don't suck in Australia. In fact, they are pretty farking good compared to most other countries.

I think Barnaby may have known that ...he'd be sh!t scared to face Windsor directly ...but he can use the residency excuse not to do it now

Of course Windsor could ask him to move to New England so he can run against him
