England's WC good times thread of good times and happy joy
It's not all doom and gloom. There are plenty of positives to be taken out of England World Cup shower/showing thus far. For example:
1. Ed Joyce is no loss.
2. Staying in India for more than a month is probably a chore anyway.
3. The spelling of "ENGLAND" on their shirts is absolutely spot on.

Infact its better than that, at least one UK team had a good result today seeing as they also represent N.Ireland.
Well, Rule Britannia

Ah fantastic, thought it was just Ireland. In that case:JKLever wrote:vilkrang wrote:5. At least one team from the British Isles is doing us proud.

9. British teams have both tied with the hosts (who are also the favourites) AND beaten the team that tied with the hosts.

13. All the money the ECB have wasted on developing the pretty rhubarb Boyd Rankin would probably have only been wasted on hookers anyway.

14. England's kit looks black from a distance. Ninjas wear black. Ninjas are pretty cool.

15. England still have a chance to get home in time to start following Charlie Sheen on Twitter before his death.
Re: England's WC good times thread of good times and happy joy
Unlike most other nationalities in the CWC, English fans can't complain about their team's games being boring.

17. It's nice to have Brass Monkey back on the Bails, isn't it? Like old times. Good times. Old times.

18. Shane Watson spends three hours a day in the gym, pumping iron, blasting quads, hunking abs and wibbling bibbles. A guy who looks like a potato chewing on a pressure capsule can hit a cricket ball further than him. And he's basically English. Soon.

19. England scored back to back 320+ scores off successive games and lost only 1 of them [Your yellow jersey rivals had Kiwis chasing as much off successive games a year or two back and couldn't even defend 420+ against the Saffies].

22. We'd have pissed on them if we'd had our best player, Eoin Morgan.
(22a. They'd have won even more easily if they'd had their best player, Eoin Morgan...)

There is even a poem about the joy of being in England when April is here. They took a giant step towards experiencing this joy for themselves.
