Well, if I can't yell about it, I might be forced to go on and on and on and on and on and on about it for a year or three. For a change.

At least there's still some important cricket in store before the AFL season kicks off.

At least the Spivs should be there unlike the Vomits, who despite another season of mimimal aus representation are no where to be seen.

Re: Shield Final: Mighty Tasmania v Wimpy Dubbers (v 2010-11)
we are happy enough to pass the baton to the Tozzies for one year. yes the Vix have been a bit disappointing although we are running third. Injury has played a part but there are no real excuses.
Incidentally early in the season when Spivs and the Vix were at full strength, the Vix comprehensively outplayed the disapppointing Spivs - sadly for Australia the stoopid NSP continued to select woeful dubbers in the Test side and we know how that went.

Despite another season of minimal Aus representation it will be more than a year before the Vomits make a shield final, and even longer until they win one again.
As for earlier the season, the season is a marathon not a sprint.

I admire your optimism and Spiv spirit, BA, but unless we can somehow snaffle a home Final, we are screwed. We are, afterall, opening the batting with Phil "fark yez all, I'll make ducks the way I want to make them" Hughes.

and the spivs are possessed of the same loser culture that has consigned Oz to losing the Ashes 3 out of 4

I understand that Gump, UK and Cameron are OK. Not sure about Haurie, Starc and Bolly, and who cares about Reeks (I hope he's injured ).
Tozzies will win (or draw more likely) it easily. And probably deservedly so. They have the best batting and bowling stats for the season.

Emerging Test batsman Usman Khawaja returns from injury to boost the NSW squad for the Sheffield Shield final against Tasmania at Bellerive Oval starting on Thursday.
However veteran paceman Stuart Clark was again ruled out because of the foot injury which saw him miss the last two games.
Khawaja has recovered from the hamstring injury which kept him out of the Blues' last start win over Western Australia and takes his place in captain Simon Katich's 13-man squad named on Monday.
He proved his fitness playing Sydney grade cricket for the Randwick-Petersham club over the weekend, scoring 22 when opening the batting.
NSW squad: Simon Katich (capt), Nic Bills, Trent Copeland, Scott Coyte, Patrick Cummins, Phil Hughes, Phil Jaques, Usman Khawaja, Nic Maddinson, Peter Nevill, Stephen O'Keefe, Ben Rohrer, Dave Warner.

And GCS and Con are in stellar form, so we are sure to win!!!!
Like hell. I bet the two crabs plus Uzzy make less than 50 between them for the game.
So Gump and Cameron are still injured. D'oh!!
