Oops. This doesn't look good. And WTF is with Hafeez becoming a genuine wicket-taker? I always thought he was a filthy darts player.

Time for Sarwan to deliver. If he doesn't, the W.I. are as fecked as fecked can be.

Clearly the Windies management thought the same, giving him a "rest" for much of the qualifiers.Nath wrote:I've seen statues bat quicker than Chanderpaul

Aye, s'almost as bad as giving your wicket away, batting like this, it allows the bowlers to get into a rhythm. Still, I expect from here they wouldn't even mind 50 off 85 balls from him.
Re: 2011 WC, 1st QF, Pak v WI, Dhaka, March 23, 2011
Am I reading the scorecard right? 4 from 31 balls?
Good god.

Awful. Totally terrible. Bangladesh may as well have gotten through. 100 looks miles off.

Ajmal's doosra is pure magic.
WI need more players like Shiv and Sars rather than Pollard

At least someone is still trying to make a game of it.31.1 Saeed Ajmal to Chanderpaul, no run, regulation miss of a stumping from Kamran. Zipping offie outside off, leads Chanders out and he misses the flick. Kamra had to collect and break the stumps, instead it hit his glove and thudded into his chin.

Re: 2011 WC, 1st QF, Pak v WI, Dhaka, March 23, 2011
I have forgotten the days the WI have played anything other than this in a QF of a WC. It's always a collapse, and WI get done with in less than 100-120.
Don't know if they are really keen on playing this one or just participating in a 'predecided-drama'. In which case England would outclass them even in that one. Whatever it is that the windies are trying to do, it's still piss poor.

With England, that's the law. Got to be close.
I'm sure they'll buck that trend come Saturday...
