Rafa is pretty much unbeatable there, another foregone conclusion despite Joke's brilliant form.

i agree. The base liners have ruined tennis. These days its just a contest to see who can stand at the back of the court & hit the ball the hardest. The serve & volley players had better skills & used finesse to win & provided much more exciting tennis.
Re: French Open Tennis 2011
They should all go back to wooden rackets.

The inability of tennis' governing body to ban the big head raquet destroyed tennis.
And if it was meant to be played on clay it would have been called clay tennis.

Federer would have won about 40 grand slams if they'd got rid of the big headed rackets.

So the secret of pushing Rafa on clay is to be 7 foot tall.

The Scot is about to lose to Rafa.
Joker to thrash Fed next and take the No 1 spot.

I disagree. Fed is playing the best he has for some time. Fed to win four.
Pointless though as Rafael has timed his run perfectly and will humiliate Roger in the final. Mentally fed concedes before they even step onthe court.

Re: French Open Tennis 2011
Excellent first set which Federer wins. I know Djokovic is in the best form of his life but I still don't feel that he can beat Federer AND Nadal to win a grand slam, especially on what is effectively Nadal's patch. He'll have to do an awful lot from here to win (both this match and the championship).

Federer seems to be rolling back the years to end Djokovic's remarkable run. Would also end the prospect of the final being a contest though.

I don't think it's within the power of either Djokovic or Federer to beat Nadal in a final at Roland Garros. Djokovic has been in remarkable form and Nadal has been in probably the worst state he has ever been in on clay - which by his standards it turns out is comfortably enough to dispose of all comers, whilst steadily building towards a stage now where he looks to be returning towards his best. Nadal is a monster more so on clay even than anywhere else. It will be a remarkable achievement by anyone to best him when he is fully fit and playing at Roland Garros.

Djokovic would be underdog but with that run behind him would have a chance.
Federer even at his peak, which was about 5 years ago, couldn't get close to Nadal on clay.

Djokovic's campaign thoroughly rogered ...
Whilst men's tennis stands still, in some sort of time warp, so much so that it's hard to summon up any interest ... it's good to see new personalities in the women's game. I hope the Chinese girl wins ...

Feel sorry for the Djoke though. His run ends at 41, ONE short of McEnroe, one short of the no.1 ranking and one short of a shot at the French Open.
