I predict Federer won't even make the semis for the first time in about 5 years.

This almost guarantees him a win. Nadal to succumb to an obscure injury and/or Eastern European.

Re: US open tennis
Nadal still hasn't won a grand slam on hard court. Let's see if he can change that.
As for Federer.
I think reports of his demise are greatly exaggerated.
Eight-time major winner Tiger Woods didn't win a major in 2003 or 2004. In fact, he only made the top ten twice in those years. By the end of 2004 Vijay Singh was the number one player in the world.
Today Tiger Woods has won six more majors and is the undisputed number one. He has almost double the number of ranking points as his nearest rival.
The lesson is never write off a true champion.
Federer may not win this year, but he'll be back some time.

He's already 27. And there are not that many major winners after that age.

Andre Agassi won five majors after turning 27, Pete Sampras won three, Ivan Lendl won four, Jimmy Connors won three, John Newcombe won three, Rod Laver won five.
That covers the best players of the Open Era except for Borg and McEnroe. Borg retired before he turned 27.
Looking at those figures I'd say Roger's good for at least another three grand slam titles - that's all he needs to break Sampras' record.

Re: US open tennis
Tennis isn't like golf, Woods could still be winning majors in his 40s injury permitting, whereas a tennis player still at the top at 30 is the exception to the rule.
Federer has been losing to not just the Nadals and Djokovics but to players at the lower end of the top 20 this year. That's quite a significant decline. Nadal's absolutely crushed any hopes he had of ever winning the French, then shattered his invincibility at Wimbledon as well. Both of those will take some recovering from. He may have a resurgence in form to some extent but I think he will do well to add to his haul of Grand Slams now.

Think it was Haroon Rahim.
Its very hard to develop a sport like tennis in PAK. In the entire city of Faisalabad i only knew of only ONE tennis center and they charged something like 10,000 Rs per year to play but that was 6 or 7 years ago.
