Shame the match is a dead rubber, from a neutral's perspective. Would've been 2-2 going into the 5th...

Cricinfo:
I should have watched this. Prolly means Badri's chances in the middle order are done.
Badrinath was sorted out by short ball after short ball till he succumbed,

Bhajji would be better off trying to signal the BCCI that their objections to the UDRS are likely to meqan more and more situations like this. BUt he's still a dick.Brass Monkey wrote:Gosh, Bhajji is a dick. He's trying to signal, from the stands, to Norman 'Wisdom' Malcolm that he's made a mistake not referring a run-out chance. What a tosser. It doesn't make the decision to not review it any less shite, however.
Still, old Norm has now offended the Indians - so we won't have to worry about him umpiring at an international level for long.
Fixed.Brass Monkey wrote:doremi wrote:He's a legend. Need more umpires like these to convince the mysterious "senior players" (who probably really are BCCI idiots) that they need the DRS.
They all seem to be toeing the party line, though. So far I've heard statements from Dhoni and Sachin berating the technology for 'not being 100% accurate' - you know, like us humans are. That'sone captain and one legendtwo luddite cave dwellers giving it a big no-no. So it seems like the BCCI are in for the long haul.
It's quite perplexing really, it's distinct that the DRS can only aid in the decision-making process, except, of course that the machines are racist against Indians.

TBF, they only have a problem with the technology because they don't understand it and have made no attempt to get to grips with it.

If this is stardom, he had better walk away NOW.

He's all for the repatriation of Jamaican's apparently:

Infact he might already be posting on this forum.

Anthony Martin and Devendra Bishoo bowling in tandem against India?
Not quite Warne and MacGill, but now they might have a reason to prepare turning pitches.

I think you might be getting Tony Martin confused with John Littledick there.

May well be the end of Badrinath's international career, dropped from the XI for this match.

Nice article on Chopra on the 'Munaf syndrome'
He could have been a atg, with better fitness and a lot more support. Now will just about finish up as almost test class. Serious loss to India.

Munaf? Jebus. Mike Gatting could've been an ATG fast bowler too!
Re: WI v India in Caribbean, June 2011
Munaf is a crippled, lazy donkey who bowled fast for one test match and ever since has struggled to reach 135kph. He's usually accurate and quite probing, but in general he is still living off the reputation he gained before he even made his international debut.

F*ck off S Dhawan and do not come back until you've improved.
In short - I think we've seen the last of Badri, Dhawan needs to go back to retool his game. T

Well, I don't have anything to back it up, I know.
And I don't think Shikhar Dhawan is going to work out in international cricket. WIndies bowling short and sorting out the DTB's. Hopefully.

Re: WI v India in Caribbean, June 2011
After much thought, I feel this XI would probably be best for the first test...
Simmons+
Barath
Sarwan
Chanderpaul
Darren Bravo
Dwayne Bravo
Sammy
Martin
Roach
Bishoo
Rampaul
The batting still looks very weak, but I'd be tempted to either drop a spinner or Sammy in favour of Andre Russell. Gayle would come in for Barath, but that's highly unlikely and I can't see Baugh being dropped for an extra bowler.
WICB WI XI
Simmons

Sarwan
Chanderpaul
Darr Bravo
Sammy
Baugh
Martin
Bishoo

He has a tendency to feel for balls outside off stump. That six he hit was awesome, though.

With the exception of Pujara, these two at the crease right now are by far the most talented of India's 'next generation' batsmen.
