Re: Aust A Tour 2011
Looks like Khawaja is set to become the next Steve Smith. Has'nt done a thing in Green & Gold since his debut but keeps getting selected.
CricInfo is predicting that both will be selected for the 'Lankan tour......i'm stuffed if i know why.

Re: Aust A Tour 2011
Khawaja showed enough in the Sydney Test to get another go. The main decisions for Australia's supposed selectors is the back up batsman, and the spinners.
I think Shaun Marsh will be the extra batsman, and Steve Smith and Jason Krejza will be the spinners.

In other words, we are farked.
Re: Aust A Tour 2011
Khawaja has been an utter failure on this tour, as he was in the Aust A game v England......and the Shield final if it comes to that. Smith has never done anything in any form of the game but keeps getting selected. If CA want to know why Australia has slipped so far down the rankings, here is a prime example.

If not Khawaja then who? Ferguson? Master of the pretty, substance free 30. Warner? Haha, Go on then. That would be funny based on runs against Zimbabwe's second XI.
Usman's debut was over-hyped, but there is no other viable option.

Krazy might go okay IF (and it's a big "if") he can hit a consistent length, but Smith will be cannon-fodder.

Because you have a commitment to the future tours program.....
In all honesty, I reckon Aus will do ok. Sri Lanka are a bit disjointed at the moment, and have no real quality spinners of their own.
1-1, I reckon.

3 high scoring draws is more likely. Or 2 high scoring draws and an Aus loss featuring an inevitable one session cave-in, ala MCG last summer.

Re: Aust A Tour 2011
What's happened to Hauritz? Has his file been marked NTPFAA? I think he's clearly the best of an average bunch of Australian spinners at the moment. I knew Ponting didn't rate him, but i'd be surprised if Clarke wasn't more sympathetic towards his Australian teammate?
Or is he simply injured?

I repeat, Trev - "Hild!ck". The most stubborn arrogant qunt to ever grace the Aus cricket scene. Haurie could take 3 consecutive 10-fers and the idiot head of the NSP would still say "it's time to move on, we are sticking by my decision to jettison Hauritz"
