Viva! Las Vegas . . .
I just got a call from one of the big knobs at a Uni I do consultations for and he has been invited to a conference in Las Vegas and . . . wait for it . . . he just asked me if I would accompany him to interpret for him.
How farkin good is that! All expenses paid.
Anyone been to Las Vegas? Give me the dirt . . .

Vegas is farkin great. And even better you are going there without family in toe (as I did). Well laid out but fat Americans everywhere. Go to Silver City for the all-you-can-eat 99c breakfast to cure your hang over and the clap you caught the night before from some filthy horn-bag that fancied big Jack.

Re: Viva! Las Vegas . . .
I have been and it is one of the greatest places on earth. It's a fantasy world and four days is enough.
Great night life, great hotels, great gambling, great shopping, great atmosphere, great entertainment shows, great nightlife.
Get yourself outside of the strip and visit some old fashion casinos and appreciate how the mob used to run the show.
Do some touristy things and go to Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon.
If you are fit, walk the entire strip and check out the main hotels. My favourite is the Venetian. Bellagio is a little over-rated. Mandalay Bay is great.
I have stayed at the Mirage and Excalibur. Check our Cirque Du Soleil, they have five shows running.
It is the bomb as they would say.
I lived on three hours sleep a night when I was there. It is the craziest place on earth.

Absolutely. A very-well organised place, that Vegas. Mate, it's deadset party central. You will have a killer time.

But don't take the plane flights through the Grand Canyon. Farkin waste of time. If your boss wants to drag himself away from the gambling, drinking and women, do a bus trip to the Canyon.

Huzzah, but fark (ahem) the Showgirls. At PK suggests, get a few blocks off the strip and get yourself some quality lap-dancing. They sit on your lap all the way to the G-spot. Oops, was that vulgar?tac wrote:skully wrote:But don't take the plane flights through the Grand Canyon. Farkin waste of time. Pretty much agree with everything Ponts says. I've been there twice including my buck's weekend.

Re: Viva! Las Vegas . . .
And do not sign up to watch a 'hotel presentation' whatever you do. They will probably hit you just as you register. They'll offer you a ton of freebies for 'just sitting through a presentation', but it will probably be a few hours and the next thing you know they'll be harrying you forever.
Thank gawd I knew about that one before I went.
Edit: In short just say fark off to any hotel staff who want you to sit through a presentation. Do it viciously enough and they might not ask you every day you are there

If we were more organised, perhaps we could arrange for a whole bunch of us to meet up in Vegas for a heist on one of the big casinos.
