Anyone tried flem's new free iphone app

I haven't tried it but it sounds sh*t.

Vaguely related but I saw a thing on the nooz at lunchtime today (over a birthday beer) that said there has been a massive upswing in people having important financial details (e.g. account numbers and passwords) after accepting free (but a bogus front for scammers) Wifi services on their smart phones and then having the details hacked.

I'll stick to my unsmart phone thanks.

Or of course, you could have a smart phone and use about 0.5% of your intelligence and not download dodgy sh!t onto your phone in the first place...

"Dumbphone" seems to be the term in reasonably common use!

A dumbphone that I can make phone calls from and send texts from is all I need, beams.

I have a work Blackberry (not touch) that does way more than I need or want but it's standard issue these days by my employer. People who's lives revolve around their smart phones are drones, IMHO.

The iPad is much better than waiting for Windowzzzzzz to start up though... I know, non-Apple alternatives are available, but the traditional PC is facing its biggest challenge for a couple of decades now I think.

BTW I haven't downloaded the app - heard about it on the radio on my way back to Brisvegas yesterday and was wondering whether anyone had used it.
