Never mind that he and Katich practically grew up together and have known each other since Perth junior cricket. They were best men at each other's weddings, weren't they? Despite all that, Hussey still produces the "we're all behind the captain" line.

Meh, he's a great team man, but I wont be rushing out to buy his autobiography when he retires.

But those players were also around when Australia had an extremely strong team. I don't think any of them were better than any player in the test team at the time. Katich is still without doubt one of the best batsmen in Australia.

Yeah granted, they weren't best friends with the captain, but on the other hand- Hodge, MacGill, Symonds........I don't think they were best friends with most people.
