Re: Xmas pack up
23rd to the 4th(I think). Looking forward to it... I've only had four days in a row off this year, been a real sh!t for making new app after new app and having to be there in case of problems... because the others don't understand my programming code.
Had to go apeshit just to get it, as well, so it's doubly satisfying.

Re: Xmas pack up
We just get 20 days to take whenever. You have to 'apply' for the leave... some has been turned down, so only had the odd Friday or Monday off until now.
Then, he said I couldn't have Christmas off and I threw a hissyfit... magically I've got my time off now.

Re: Xmas pack up
Wowzers! 55 days, eh? Mental. What I could do with that....
Probably not a lot, actually. I could leave the days until next year, but I'll have used 15 of them by the end of the year (got one off on Monday, as well)

Re: Xmas pack up
sh!t, have they been accumulating for years? I suppose if they won't allow you to take them, you've at least accrued some extra money upon retirement.

Many years, and every year they increase in value. Hence the moaning.

Ah, right... I suppose it'd take a long time to get that many. Not good over the lengthy period, but a good save for later.
Re: Xmas pack up

Aye, it must be... I'm bad enough in the protected south... heard there's gale-force winds?
Re: Xmas pack up
Aye, not too bad here yet though.

*And with that, Lever was borne aloft and carried away by a hurricane, never to be seen alive again. All that was left was the little porkpie hat, the open-chest pendant and his souped-up Escort, saved by the bunker garage he had constructed for it.*

Don't think a mock-scenario described in the form of David Attenborough can save you from such an egregious error.
Re: Xmas pack up
I finish on the 23rd and I'm back at it on the 28th, but I'm having the 22nd off as I'm out on the lash the night before!

I'm off to the beach next week, then back in the office for a few days of hard core festiveness, then off to the beach again until the new year.

I get no time off. Someone has to keep the country running while the leftys hit the turps.
I'm kidding BTW...although not about having no time off

No, gave up on holidays this time of year. Tourist traps. Prices treble, particularly along the coast and then you have to fight the cowboys to get there in the first place.

You're an Indian?
I would never have guessed.
