More cushion for the Prussian, as the saying goes.
Weird saying...

The wily Dello and M. de Bouquet apart, you must all be on acid.

This.
What a plank. He'll start deleting everyone's posts next and bigging up this "sweet new feature".
I did wonder if I'd found something with the potential to outdo the 'Elders' debacle. Unlikely in the absence of Vikas, i guess.

No. Especially given that half the folk here apparently can't even see them ...

You still can't see them?
some profiles I stuck in one day on some members' profile pages ... I don't think I said anything nasty
As Dello stated, I thought they were open to universal use/abuse.
Blackadder: sees the flaws in every cunning plan
Brass Monkey: trash talker extraordinaire
tac: Basement landlord and goatherd who 'bears an uncanny resemblance to the worst person imaginable'
Skully: trivia master and SGDT
JGK: Nostradamus, or maybe sumadartson
furriner: enthusiastic swimmer and peach fancier
Demelza: sexy minx, loves a bit of pork sausage
Bradman: Is it Friday yet?
Henry: Aussier-baiter extraordinaire. For context, see any exchange between Henry and Zat or Zim.
lardbucket: purveyor of pies and useless information
embee: Twin Fleas Off A Rink can mix up his letters but he doesn't mix up his numbers
merlin: My name is not Ian
Nath: Very young. Very flat head.
eowyn: Whip-wielding virago dungeon mistress - 'Braddles, does my bum look big in this?'
horace: don't stand so colostomy
Zat: Glossary editor and Emperor of Zog
PeterCS: mercurial stirrer
etc; I think Dello deleted whatever I wrote in his, it now says 'no comment'

I can't see these comments, on other member profiles or myself.
All I found was a page saying "vilkrang has no friends yet".

WTF?
Your friends list allows a rapid access with the members with whom you often discuss.

Ah yes of course, you and hamidwiss, the conversations between you two are part of FB folklore.

Quite strange that the guy took the time to create his own personal avatar (presumably a picture of himself) yet never bothered posting.

At a guess I would say it's my old mate Matshelwane aka Aditya.

Well, it must be legacy of when I was doing some glossary writing editing, before getting slack(er).
The comments field is on the member profile page, under 'best batting' and above 'points'.
FWIW, in your comments field I wrote: An absolute pilar of the community - President of the Winchester Temperance Society
