Suck it up, princess, Clarke has done that for every Test hundred he's ever made. Can he help it if India's attack has been so popgun that other blokes have had the chance to do it as well?Henry wrote:All this helmet kissing is starting to make me sick.

Although I never thought I'd hear you complaining about too much helmet kissing. I suppose you're more used to kissing purple helmets than watching blokes kiss green ones...

If he didn't go for it in Sydney, he won't allow him or Punter to go for it here. Aust would be about 850 by the time one of these 2 got to 400.

What a joke this team is. Australia could get 800 and still win on day 4.
Just saw JGKs post. It seems possible. No?

Well, hasn't this just been the grousest grouse partnership to ever be grouse in a grouse Test performance. Pup = grouse. Punter = grouse.

Ken Oath. Please don't declare at some p!ssy low 500 score. Of course, they could fall in a heap from here, but if not, put high 500s on the board, if not 600+ and grind 'em into the Adelaide roadbase.JGK wrote:Henry wrote:The way Clarke is starting to play, I reckon Aus are looking to declare an hour after lunch.
Why bother. It's a hot day - keep them in the field for most of the day. Even if you roll them in 100 overs you could bat again with plenty of time left.

India were ground into the dust the moment they lost the toss. Evidently, the moment they stepped off the plane in England 8 months ago. I don't think they can be demoralised/given up/lethargic/over it/desperate to go home any more than they are.

Aye, after:JGK wrote:Only second time in history that a pair have put on consecutive 250 run partnerships in tests.
388 4th DG Bradman/WH Ponsford Aus v Eng Leeds 1934
451 2nd DG Bradman/WH Ponsford v Eng The Oval 1934
A number of players have made 250+ partnerships in consecutive Test innings with 2 different partners, but I might save that as a triv question.

Meanwhile, Pup becomes just the 3rd person to score a triple and a double in a series.

Let's face it, the Ch Nein team is a bit like the Indian top order - a wave of retirements is coming so they may as well start trying some others.
